In 2003, Ms. Dugo graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a Bachelor of Arts in sociology. While working as a paralegal, she attended Pace University School of Law (now Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University). In 2011, she obtained her Juris Doctor, and that same year, both the Connecticut Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association admitted her to practice.

Fully dedicated to her profession, Ms. Dugo is active in a number of local, state and national bar associations. She currently serves as co-chair for the Fairfield County Bar Association Women in the Law Committee, and she previously served as co-chair for the Connecticut Bar Association Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice committees. She also helped coordinate the New Haven Public Schools Lawyers in the Classroom program.
