J. Paul Vance Jr

J. Paul Vance Jr is a highly skilled attorney with decades of experience fighting for his clients throughout the State of Connecticut.  As a partner with the boutique litigation firm, Logan Vance Sullivan & Kores LLP, Vance focuses his practice on personal injury law, including car/trucking accidents, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, animal bites and slip-and-fall accidents.

Attorney Vance is a proud alumnus of Villanova University where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, a member of the football team and active with Campus Ministry and Habitat for Humanity.  Vance also graduated from Seton Hall University School of Law and Columbia University. He began his legal career at the Connecticut Appellate Court where he served as a clerk in 1999-2000.  

Vance has practiced across the State of Connecticut in both federal and state court, representing the interests of his clients as an aggressive, hard-charging and compassionate advocate.   He was appointed by Governor Dannell Malloy to head the State of Connecticut's Office of the Claims Commissioner.  As the Claims Commissioner, Vance presided over claims of wrongful incarceration and personal injury claims, including several high-profile claims that were featured on national news.  

Attorney Vance is committed to service in the legal community and is involved several professional organizations. He has held leadership roles within the Connecticut Bar Association, serving as a member of the Board of Governors, the House of Delegates and on the Executive Board.   He also serves the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association as a member of the Board of Governors.

Attorney Vance is passionate about service to the community.  He serves as a volunteer at Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in Waterbury and is a supporter of many local organizations and charities throughout the State.  Vance served as an elected official in the City of Waterbury for four terms as the President of the Board of Aldermen and he continues to volunteer his time on many boards and commissions in the Town of Watertown where he resides with his wife and sons.
