Daniel Petroskey is the owner of the Waterbury, Connecticut-based firm, DeFronzo & Petroskey PC. Exclusively focusing his practice on personal injury law, he serves primarily the residents of Waterbury, Danbury, New Haven, Central Connecticut and Bridgeport. Hailing from Connecticut, Mr. Petroskey attended Colby College in Waterville, Maine. He majored in history and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 2000; he was also a 4-year member of the varsity basketball team. The same year, he attended Albany Law School in Albany, New York and earned his Juris Doctor in 2003. While in law school, Mr. Petroskey was the Commissioner of the intramural basketball league, which consisted of teams of current students and alumni. The league had the most participation of any student activity on campus.
Upon completing his law studies, Mr. Petroskey was admitted to practice law in Connecticut in 2004. He was also admitted to practice law in New York in 2006. After serving as an associate attorney at his current firm from 2013 to 2019, Mr. Petroskey was named as a law partner at the firm in 2021, making history as the firm’s first partner in its 60-plus years of existence, and ultimately becoming the owner of the firm in 2024.
