Mr. Woodard is admitted to the Connecticut and New York Bar, though his practice is limited to Connecticut. He is also admitted to practice in the Federal District Court of Connecticut and the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals. From 1993 to 1997, Mr. Woodard gained invaluable trial and life experience as a prosecutor in New York, spending the last two years prosecuting cases in the domestic violence and sex crimes division. He returned to Connecticut with his family in 1997 and has practiced exclusively in civil litigation since that time. In addition to his trial experience, he has also represented clients before the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts as well as the United States Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Woodard served as President of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association from 2018-2019, an organization of over 1,300 trial attorneys devoted to preserving injured individual's rights to a trial by jury. He remains active in the organization, serving as co-chair of the Legislative Committee, and as a member of CTLA's Executive Committee, Board of Governors, and Continuing Legal Education Committees. He is also a member of the Hartford County Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and a Leaders Forum member of the American Association of Justice (AAJ).
Mr. Woodard received his law degree from Western New England School of Law where he graduated with honors and served on the editorial board of the school’s Law Review. He received a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Syracuse University.
