Attorney Eric J. Broder is a co-founder and partner at Broder & Orland LLC, which has law offices in Westport and Greenwich, Connecticut. Possessing more than 22 years of legal experience and having earned widespread recognition as one of the state's pre-eminent family law attorneys, Mr. Broder has achieved notable success helping families throughout Fairfield County and all across Connecticut, as well as in New York, with all of their issues surrounding their divorces.
Throughout his career, Mr. Broder has handled some of Connecticut's most difficult and complex divorce cases, and through his effectiveness as a divorce mediator, he has helped numerous families resolve their conflicts and reach agreements with regards to child custody and support, property division, business valuations and other related matters both amicably and efficiently. He also has extensive experience devising solid prenuptial and postnuptial agreements for his clients to help them protect their rights and interests in the event of divorce.
A 1992 graduate of Tulane University, Mr. Broder attended Temple University Beasley School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1995. The Connecticut Bar Association admitted him to practice the following year, as did the New York State Bar Association. Mr. Broder remains highly active in his legal community, including with the Connecticut Bar Association, where he served with the House of Delegates from 2015 to 2018. He has also served as president of the Fairfield County Bar Association as well as the Fairfield County Bar Foundation.
Widely regarded as a leader in his field, Mr. Broder has published numerous articles and conducted lectures on a variety of legal topics, and he has appeared on several national and local news broadcasts, including NBC's Today Show, offering in-depth legal commentary for myriad issues related to family law.
Recognized for his service and professionalism, Mr. Broder has received many awards and honors. The National Academy of Family Law Attorneys named him among the Top 10 Family Law Attorneys in Connecticut each year since 2014, and he has earned listings in various regional publications as one of Connecticut's top lawyers for arbitration and mediation, family law, and matrimonial law.
