Marta Dybowski

Marta Dybowski is the founder of the Hockessin, Delaware-based law practice The Marta Firm, from where she represents the people across the Delaware metro areas in matters regarding:

·       Estate planning

·       Wills

·       Trusts

·       Probate and estate administration

·       Elder law

Ever since opening The Marta Firm, Ms. Dybowski’s sole purpose of preplanning asset distribution after individuals pass away, ensuring the welfare of the beneficiaries and the precise fulfillment of individual testamentary desires. She possesses a keen understanding of the importance of estate planning, especially within the multifaceted legal landscape of Delaware. 

Licensed to practice in Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Ms. Dybowski is also admitted to appearing before the U.S. District Court of Delaware, the U.S. District Court of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. 

Ms. Dybowski completed her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Delaware. During her time at the University of Delaware, she developed a passion for social justice while working in a social psychology lab focused on intergroup bias. This led her to pursue a legal career. After college, she interned at the Delaware Department of Justice, gaining experience in the criminal justice system and helping victims.

Later, Ms. Dybowski obtained her J.D. from the New York Law School in 2013. During law school, she worked for a renowned criminal defense lawyer in New York and also practiced in the Delaware State Courts, educating defendants about the complexities of the criminal justice system. Her dedication to direct interaction and helping individuals solve problems became apparent during this phase of her career.

Simultaneously pursuing her Legum Magister at Delaware Law School - Widener University, Ms. Dybowski conducted legal research at JP Morgan Chase & Co. Her professional journey also included years in private practice at a boutique estate planning firm. During this time, she demonstrated her commitment to professional growth by completing a certificate program in estate planning offered by Villanova University - Charles Widger School of Law’s Graduate Tax Program.

Ms. Dybowski is part of the American Bar Association and the Delaware State Bar Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution and Trust and Estates Sections. Beyond her legal pursuits, she devotes her time to volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware and has previously served as the family engagement chair of the Red Shoe Society.
