  • Motorcycle Accident - $150,000 recovery which was comprised of $100,000 on the at-fault's liability policy and $50,000 on the motorcycle rider's underinsured/uninsured policy, 2024.
  • Nightmare nanny accused of taking picture of wealthy Dentist's children and posting children on adoption websites. Result - case pled down to Disorderly Conduct. Result - Defendant paid a $100 fine. All felony and conspiracy charges dropped, 2011.
  • State v. Darmanin - Retail store manager charged with possessing and distributing thousands of images of child porn on a peer-to-peer network. The Defendant face 2 years mandatory jail time on each count. After retaining one of the top mitigation experts in the region, Defendant served only 1 year as part of a plea agreement with the State, 2015.
  • State v. Powell - Death Row inmate accused of assaulting a prison guard. 4 Other prison guards witness the assault. Result - the Attorney General's Office entered a nolle prosequi the night before trial, 2016.
  • State v. McCauley - DUI - Drugs. Strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and Defendant admitted to smoking marijuana before driving. Result - Not guilty, 2016.
  • Commonwealth v. Kirksey - client charged with Burglary of a row home in Chester, PA. Defendant found several blocks away from victim's home in the middle of the night with a lighter and the items stolen from the home being burned in nearby dumpster. Two co-defendants standing nearby plead guilty to several years in jail. Mr. Kirksey was found NOT GUILTY of all charges, 2012.
  • Commonwealth v. Nguyen - Defendant was charged and accused of assaulting a neighbor after an argument in the City of Philadelphia. The case proceeded with a bench trial in Philadelphia Municipal Court. The Defendant was found NOT GUILTY of Simple Assault and related charges, 2014.
  • State v. Weisnegger - DUI - drove down Newark Main Street (one way) the opposite direction and on to the sidewalk. Result - pled down to Reckless Driving - Alcohol Related, 2015.
  • State v. Richetti - 1st offense DUI - Blood Alcohol level over .08 - all evidence suppressed - case nolle prossed after suppression hearing, 2016.
  • Commonwealth v. Bennett - 5th Offense DUI - client could not stand on one leg, half empty bottle of alcohol in back seat, blood shot eyes, odor of alcohol. Result - Not Guilty, 2014.
  • Ms. Dawson was charged with straw purchase of firearms for felons not to possess. Defendant's prison phone conversations were recorded wherein she talked about purchasing the firearms for her boyfriend, a convicted felon. This case was unique because she was the first person to be charged under the Brad Fox law, named for the fallen officer in Montgomery County. The Brad Fox law carries a mandatory penalty of 5 years if a defendant purchases 2 or more guns for felons. This case was highly publicized. Result - Hung Jury; Acquitted on 4 counts; subsequently convicted of 4 counts in retrial with other counsel, 2014.
  • My office was retained for a custody relocation case.  My client's husband was a corporate attorney and retained one of the largest law firms in the country to represent him in all custody proceedings relating to the child. Although my client had a family law attorney at the time, the large sophisticated, law firm she felt was too much for her attorney to handle. This was a David vs. Goliath situation. She interviewed with me because she heard I was a good trial attorney. Although I never handled a custody relocation case and explained to her that I am a criminal lawyer, she nevertheless retained our office because she needed to go to trial on this relocation issue. After hours of preparation and motion practice and a grueling, hard-fought trial, the mother was granted her Petition to Relocate the Child to her hometown, 2011.
  • State v. Jones - 1st Offense DUI - all evidence suppressed, 2016.
