Background
Attorney John LaRosa has dedicated his entire career to fighting for the rights of employees in the workplace. As the son of a union carpenter and a nurse, he was raised to appreciate the value of hard work at a very young age. Since first entering the workforce at age 14, he has seen firsthand the delicate balance of power between the employer and the employee and how often injustices can occur in the workplace.
So after earning his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Delaware, he worked his way through the Delaware Law School (then known as Widener University School of Law) as a Research Assistant for its Legal Writing Department and a Law Clerk for three Wilmington law firms, one representing major corporations in business transactions and two representing individuals in Employment and other Civil Rights Litigation. He found he much preferred to advocate for the inherent Constitutional, statutory, and common law rights of individuals in the workplace, whether they worked for the government or in the private sector. In other words, he wanted to represent real people with real employment problems.
Professional Experience
After graduating law school, he passed his first Bar Exam in 2000, and then became licensed by the state supreme courts of Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, three federal trial courts in those states, their U.S. Court of Appeals in Philadelphia, and the U.S. Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. In January 2001, he opened his own practice dedicated to fighting for the rights of individuals in the workplace. Over the course of more than 18 years in private practice, it is estimated that he has handled over one thousand (1,000) Employment Law cases for Plaintiffs and Defendants who were former, current, or potential employees wronged by an employer.

- The purpose of this book is to provide the reader with an understanding of employee rights in Delaware - particularly with respect to wrongful termination - as well as a general understanding of what an employment lawyer does, which includes looking at why an action was taken against an employee as much as what action was taken against the employee. For those who are wondering if their employment was wrongfully terminated or if they have another employment issue that merits contacting an employment attorney, this book will be informative and helpful. Furthermore, for an individual unsure whether to seek an attorney, the book might answer the often-posed question, "Do I have a case?", Author, Wrongful Termination in Delaware: A Survival Guide for True Employees Fired for False Reasons, Amazon.com, All Former, Current, And Potential Employees Of Employers In Delaware, 2022
