Melissa N. Donimirski is an attorney at Heyman Enerio Gattuso & Hirzel LLP in Wilmington, Delaware, where she represents business clients in complex litigation involving issues such as stockholder class actions, partnership and limited liability company disputes, derivative actions involving corporate governance, and disputes over the fiduciary obligations of officers and directors. Ms. Donimirski also handles so-called business divorce cases, negotiating and litigating matters involving the legal separation of owners of privately held businesses, and works with transactional matters related to mergers and acquisitions and other issues. She serves clients in Delaware and on a nationwide basis.

In addition to her law practice, Ms. Donimirski is co-editor of the treatise “Litigating the Business Divorce.” She has also co-authored and co-edited presentations for organizations, including the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section. She is an active member of the Delaware State Bar Association and the Richard S. Rodney American Inn of Court and serves on the business and corporate litigation committee of the American Bar Association’s Business Law Section.

Ms. Donimirski earned a bachelor’s degree from Bryn Mawr College and went on to graduate cum laude from Widener University Delaware Law School. She holds licenses to practice law before all Delaware state courts, the Delaware Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware.

Prior to joining Heyman Enerio Gattuso & Hirzel LLP, Ms. Donimirski served as a clerk for judges at the Delaware Superior and Supreme Courts. She also spent three years practicing as an associate at another private law firm.
