Attorney Profile

Timothy E. Lengkeek is a graduate of the University of Delaware and Rutgers University School of Law, with honors.  He represents people injured or killed as a result of auto and work accidents, medical negligence and premises and products liability.  He has a remarkable track record - including obtaining a number of seven figure settlements and verdicts in cases that many thought could not be won.

In the last several years, he has recovered more than $30 million dollars for his clients, including a number of cases where the recovery was $1 million or more.  His most recent medical negligence verdict, Koch v. Cardiology Consultants, which ultimately settled for $2.15 million following a Plaintiffs' verdict and an appeal, created favorable new law for patients in the area of informed consent.  In three other cases, the Delaware courts adopted his arguments and created new law in the areas medical negligence, premises liability and respondeat superior. Saddler v. Doman; Cantinca v. Fontana; Smith v. Williams.  In one of his most recent cases in the Delaware Supreme Court, Castillo v. Clearwater Ins. Co, 8 A.3d 1177 (Del. 2010), the Court reversed the trial court and adopted Mr. Lengkeek's argument, finding that the Plaintiff was entitled to access $1,000,000.00 in underinsured motorist coverage.

He is a member of the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum and a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

He is a past President of  the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, a past member of the Board of Governors of The American Association for Justice, and a State Delegate to AAJ.  He has named a Super Lawyer since 2013, a Top Personal Injury Lawyer by Delaware Today, and recognized by Best Lawyers - Personal Injury Plaintiff since 2012.
