Details

Kimra D. Major-Morris is the founding principal of Major-Morris Law, LLC, based in Apopka, Florida, where she dedicates her practice to the strategic protection and management of intellectual property – particularly trademarks, copyrights and name‐image‐likeness (NIL) rights. Over the past 16 years, she has guided founders, executives, athletes, artists and mission-driven organizations whose reputations and livelihoods depend on the names, ideas and visibility they cultivate.

Ms. Major-Morris’ work lives at the crossroads of law, influence and long-term value creation – she not only secures filings and registrations, but also helps clients anticipate risks, structure ownership and future-proof their IP portfolios in service of brand equity, monetization readiness and legacy preservation.

Renowned for her clarity and precision, Ms. Major-Morris takes a forward-looking approach to every engagement. Rather than simply reacting to legal developments, she collaborates with decision-makers to align legal strategies with overarching business objectives. Whether advising an emerging technology platform on trademark governance, coaching a public‐facing brand through copyright enforcement or shaping NIL agreements for high‐profile athletes, she ensures that every legal choice supports disciplined growth, safeguards reputational capital and creates opportunities for leverage tomorrow.

A proud graduate of Florida A&M University College of Law, Ms. Major-Morris was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2009. Before pursuing law, she taught entertainment business courses at Full Sail University and worked in Hollywood as a video editor for HBO and a red-carpet photographer. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast communications from Florida International University and, since 2019, has hosted the Telly Award – winning series Legal Connections in partnership with OrangeTV and FAMU College of Law.

An acknowledged leader in the IP community, Ms. Major-Morris is AV Preeminent* peer-review rated through Martindale-Hubbell and served as chair of The Florida Bar Intellectual Property Law Committee. She frequently speaks and publishes on topics ranging from AI-driven brand protection to proactive governance, contributing articles to the American Bar Association’s Landslide Magazine, The Florida Bar’s International Law Quarterly and other professional journals.

*AV®, AV Preeminent®, Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished and Martindale-Hubbell Notable are certification marks used under license in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies.
