A partner at The Burton Firm, P.A., Marc A. Burton has a diverse practice that covers several areas of the law. Located in Aventura, Florida, he represents businesses and individuals throughout Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties, and other parts of the state. Admitted to practice in both Florida and Massachusetts, Mr. Burton is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, as well as before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 1st and 11th Circuits.
Mr. Burton focuses a significant portion of his practice on civil litigation. The cases that he has handled in this regard have included contract breaches, personal injury and wrongful death, business torts, defamation, fraud, and unjust enrichment. He has represented clients in labor and employment law disputes arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act and other statutes, and his experience has encompassed divorce and other family law matters, foreclosure defense, and education law. Mr. Burton has also worked on voting rights cases and other election law issues. In that capacity, Mr. Burton served as lead voter protection counsel in Miami-Dade County to the 2020 presidential campaign of Joe Biden, and to the 2022 senatorial campaign of Val Demings, the 2022 campaign of Charlie Crist, and to the Florida Democratic Party. Mr. Burton is a former statewide Voter Protection Director for the Florida Democratic Party.

Mr. Burton obtained his undergraduate education at New York University, where he majored in politics and media, and received a Bachelor of Science cum laude in 2008. He then went on to attend Boston College Law School and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2011. While he was in law school, he served several internships, including one with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts. Mr. Burton's memberships include the Dade County Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, and the Miami-Dade and Broward Democratic Lawyers Councils.
