- Client was a law enforcement officer in Palm Beach County parked on the shoulder of the highway on a traffic stop during inclement weather caused by a Hurricane. A large oil tanker began hydroplaning on the highway and jackknifed into the rear of the client's patrol vehicle, while he was seated inside. The force pushed the client into another vehicle and the highway concrete guardrail. Client suffered significant lumbar pain due to acute herniations and required multiple pain-relieving injections. Ultimately, he required a Lumbar Discectomy surgery performed outpatient. Client incurred approximately $100,000 in medical expenses. The matter proceeded to litigation against the trucking company, where a settlement was reached for $350,000.00. , 2023
- Client, a male in his twenties, was a truck driver asleep in the camper of his truck at a rest stop. Suddenly, his truck was dragged by another truck, which then reversed into the client's truck again. Upon arrival of the police, the tortfeasor attempted to conceal his involvement and deceive the police in their investigation. The client suffered significant neck and back pain, with radiculopathy to his extremities. To relieve his unrelenting pain, the client had to undergo a 1-level Anterior Cervical Discectomy and Fusion at C6-7, with a partial corpectomy of C6 and a concurrent Lumbar Radiofrequency Ablation.
