George D. Karibjanian is the founding member of Franklin Karibjanian & Law, PLLC, an attorney who predominantly assists the residents of Florida with their legal matters. A board-certified attorney in wills, trusts and estates accredited by The Florida Bar, he majorly handles cases involving estate planning and probate and trust administration. He represents many of his clients for nuptial agreements as well. First admitted to practice law in Florida in 1988, he is currently licensed to practice in Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Mr. Karibjanian completed his undergraduate studies in 1984 at the University of Notre Dame, graduating with a BBA in accountancy. He pursued his interest in the legal profession at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, earning his Juris Doctor in 1987. Following that, he went on to receive his LL.M. in taxation from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1988. He presently contributes to his alma mater, Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, through the role of an advisory board member of the school’s Graduate Tax Program.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Karibjanian is a voracious writer and speaker, consistently giving lectures and writing articles on his practice areas and other relevant legal topics. He has delivered over 200 presentations and has more than 80 of his written works published in reputed regional and national journals, on topics such as the Uniform Voidable Transactions Act, same-sex estate planning, the Uniform Principal and Income Act, current developments in estate planning and taxation, the advantages and disadvantages of domestic asset protection trusts, and so on.
An active member of the legal community, Mr. Karibjanian upholds memberships and leadership roles within prominent legal organizations, including, but not limited to, The American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (a Fellow; Asset Protection Committee, Transfer Tax Study Committee and Family Law Task Force), The Florida Bar (Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section, and past chair – Asset Protection Committee), and the American Bar Association (Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, Income and Transfer Tax Planning Group, Art and Collectible Committee Co-Chair, and Trusts and Estates CLE Committee).
