Jesse Long

Jesse Long is the founder of and the managing shareholder of Legal Grit. His firm is based in Boca Raton, Florida, and he represents businesses and people throughout the state, focusing his practice exclusively on a variety of matters related to insurance coverage. Mr. Long has been admitted to practice in Florida since 2015, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.

Mr. Long attended Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania, and he majored in political science and government and was a member of the school’s varsity football team before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 2012. He then went on to enroll at Florida Coastal School of Law, and while he was there, he interned at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Inc., and he assisted homeless clients as well as families that had children with special needs before receiving his Juris Doctor in 2015.

After he graduated from law school, Mr. Long practiced insurance law at two Florida law firms before founding Legal Grit in September 2019. He continues on in that field of law, and he represents policy holders whose claims have been disputed, delayed, or denied in bad faith by their insurance company providers. The types of cases that Mr. Long has handled on behalf of both individuals and businesses have included theft, damage due to hurricanes and floods, fire insurance, vandalism, business interruption, lost income, mold and bacteria, wind, plumbing failures, loss of inventory, and biohazards. His successes both in jury verdicts and negotiated settlements has not only earned him the appreciation of his clients but from his colleagues as well, as evidenced by his receipt of an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
