Joshua L. Plager

A Senior Associate at Gladstone, Weissman, Hirschberg & Schneider, P.A., Joshua L. Plager focuses on helping his clients navigate the complex traverse of family and matrimonial law throughout Florida. With more than a decade of experience, he also has several years of experience in trust and estate litigation, fiduciary litigation and guardianships.

Josh graduated from the University of Florida with honors in 2006, earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Mr. Plager went on to secure his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. While in law school, he was a recipient of the Daniel B. Gaubatz Memorial Award, awarded to one person annually for humor and dedication to the Law Review, and a PREP Fellow in the school’s Professional Responsibility & Ethics Program. He was also active in the student associations and was the president of the Jewish Law Student Association.

Stepping into the professional legal arena, Mr. Plager served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Marcia G. Cooke at the Southern District of Florida. Josh’s Law Review article, “All Things Equal: Unintended Consequences & Allegedly Misrepresented Statistics,” concerning law schools’ alleged dissemination to potential students of misleading and inaccurate employment and salary data, was published at 67 U. Miami L. Rev 681 (2013). Mr. Plager was a Series 7 and 66 registered financial adviser at the American International Group, where he assisted people in their financial planning and investments, including 409(k) plans, 403(b) plans and IRAs. His background in finance, estate planning, and trust and estate litigation aids him in serving his family law clients better.
