Ruben E. Socarras

Ruben E. Socarras, Esq., a founding member of Chane Socarras, PLLC, focuses his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, business law, employment law, and general civil litigation, including personal injury and wrongful death. As an experienced litigator, Ruben often represents individuals and businesses in a variety of cases before state and federal courts, including cases involving contract disputes, temporary/permanent injunctions, torts, trade secrets, unfair competition, non-competition/non-solicitation agreements, fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty, employment related disputes, real estate and title claims, business dissolution, and shareholder/member disputes.

Mr. Socarras has over 17 years of legal experience handling complex cases involving issues such as breach of fiduciary duty, contracts, fraud, injunctions, noncompete agreements, real estate, shareholder disputes, title disputes, torts, trade secrets and unfair competition. Along with litigation, he has experience with alternative dispute resolution methods such as arbitration and mediation, helping clients resolve their disputes without court involvement. He regularly serves as outside general counsel to various corporate clients, often assisting with their business transactional needs, including contract preparation and negotiations. His practice also includes serving as a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator.

Active in the legal community, Mr. Socarras is a member of the Broward County Bar Association, the South Palm Beach County Bar Association, The Florida Bar and the Internet Law Leadership Summit. Serving his local community, Mr. Socarras co-founded and serves on the board of directors of a non-profit organization benefiting children in the local community stricken with serious or terminal illnesses. Ruben has also been actively involved with the University of Florida Alumni Association and local bar associations.

In 2000, Mr. Socarras graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree. He received his law degree from Stetson University College of Law in 2003. He holds licenses to practice law before all Florida state courts, the U.S. district courts for the middle and southern districts of Florida and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.
