Steven D. Rubin is certified in real estate law and condominium and planned development law by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education (1995) and he has been a member of the Florida Bar since 1981. Mr. Rubin served as Chair of the Palm Beach County Bar Association Real Estate Continuing Legal Education Committee from 1997 to 2010 and as Chair of the Florida Bar Real Estate Certification Committee (2007-08). He served as a member of the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education from 2012 to 2018, and as its Chair from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018. Mr. Rubin is the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education's Coordinator for the Certified Lawyers on Call Service, Former Chair of the ABA Standing Committee on Specialization's Accreditation Review Panel, Former Chair of The Florida Bar 15th Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee "E", and current Vice-Chair of The Florida Bar Clients' Security Fund and member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association Professionalism Committee.

In 2005, he was awarded the Palm Beach County Legal Aid Society's And Justice for All Pro Bono Award, and he continues to provide pro bono services as evidenced by the silver and bronze pins awarded to him by the Florida Supreme Court and his selection in 2023 by the President of the Florida Bar as the annual pro bono award recipient for the 15th Judicial Circuit..
