Edward B. Sobel is the founder of his own law firm located in Bradenton, Florida. Focusing his practice exclusively on family law, he provides representation to clients throughout the area in matters involving divorce, child custody, paternity, prenuptial agreements, collaborative law, mediation, domestic violence, contempt, and grandparent and other non-parent custody matters.
Before attending law school, Mr. Sobel graduated cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Muhlenberg College in Pennsylvania in 1979. He then attended Emory University School of Law, graduating in 1982 with his Juris Doctor. After graduation, Mr. Sobel served as an assistant county attorney before going into private practice in 1985. He is admitted to practice in both Florida and Georgia.
During his career, Mr. Sobel has gained the respect of his fellow professionals for his high degree of ethics and his successful track record. He has received a perfect 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo, and he has also received an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Sobel has been certified as a specialist in marital and family law by The Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education, and he has received certification as a family law mediator by the Florida Supreme Court.
