Mr. Goethe focuses his practice in the areas of wills, trusts, and estates. In 2014, Mr. Goethe was elected to the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He is an active member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, and has served on the section's Excutive Council and several committees within the section, including committees that have drafted legislation relating to homestead, trusts, and probate administration.  In 2016, he received the John Arthur Jones Annual Service Award for his dedicated service to the section. Mr. Goethe has served on the Florida Probate Rules Committee for more than six years, including one year as chair. He is a frequent lecturer, providing course materials and lectures for Florida attorneys. His lectures, articles, and written materials have covered a variety of topics, including homestead, elective share rights for surviving spouses, probate administration, trust administration and estate planning. Mr. Goethe is a past director and past president of The Manatee County Bar Association. He is an Emeritus Master of the Inns of Court in Manatee County, Florida and is Board-Certifed in Wills, Trusts and Estates by the Florida Bar. Apppointments are available at the main office in Bradenton, with appointments upon request in the Holmes Beach, Parrish, Lakewood Ranch and Sarasota offices.
