Jeffrey P. Cario

Jeffrey P. Cario is the founder of Jeffrey P. Cario, P.A., located in Brooksville, Florida, where he provides dedicated and results-oriented representation in various complicated legal matters. His practice areas include family law, criminal defense and personal injury, offering clients thoughtful guidance during tough and often challenging situations. A board-certified marital and family law lawyer since 1996, Mr. Cario is also a certified family mediator through the Supreme Court of Florida. He handles sensitive family disputes such as divorce, child custody and support, while his criminal defense work involves representing individuals facing serious charges. Mr. Cario earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Florida in 1984. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 1987.  In that same year, he became licensed to practice law in Florida, and served as an Assistant State Attorney in the Fifth Judicial Circuit for several years. 

A distinguished professional, Mr. Cario is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. He holds memberships in several professional organizations, including the State Bar of Georgia and the Hernando County Bar Association. He is also a member of The Florida Bar, including its Family Law Section and Criminal Law Section.
