Details
As founder of the Dahl Family Law Group, J.J. Dahl represents people in Clermont, Florida, who are involved with family issues. She regularly handles cases such as divorce, alimony and child support, child custody and visitation, paternity, adoption and division of property.
After earning her undergraduate degree, Ms. Dahl attended Florida State University College of Law. During her time, there, she was honored with several scholarships and in 1990, she received her Juris Doctor.
Throughout her legal career of more than 20 years, Ms. Dahl has served as a Florida state prosecutor twice and applies her deep understanding of the court system to her family law clients. She knows the emotions that are often involved in a family dispute or adoption, and helps her clients find a solution that best fits their needs. She does this by teaching her clients about family law, showing them what their rights and options are, and then encouraging them to make decisions that will not only benefit them now, but in the long term.
A board-certified attorney in marital and family law, Ms. Dahl has been the recipient of several honors including the distinguished service award from the Florida Council on Crime and Delinquency. She is active in the legal community, having served on several legal committees and as president of the Lake County Bar Association's Family Law Section. Her memberships include The Collaborative Family Law Group of Central Florida, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, The Florida Bar and the Citrus Hills Bible Church. Ms. Dahl is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
