A founding partner and shareholder of Perez Mayoral, P.A., in Coral Gables, Florida, Erik Perez draws upon a wealth of litigation experience to advocate for homeowners, businesses and individuals alike. As a seasoned trial attorney, he has cultivated a dual perspective – first representing homeowners’ and condominium associations, and now leveraging that insider’s knowledge to champion the rights of homeowners in their disputes with those same entities. His practice spans federal and state civil courts, with a particular emphasis on complex commercial litigation, HOA and condominium conflicts, property damage claims and insurance disputes.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Perez has appeared successfully on behalf of a diverse roster of clients, including homeowners, developers, contractors, small-business proprietors, publicly traded technology firms, insurance carriers and injury victims. He has navigated every stage of litigation and arbitration – from preliminary pleadings and discovery to mediations, summary‐judgment motions, final hearings and jury trials – on both the plaintiff’s and defendant’s sides.

A magna cum laude graduate of Florida International University with a bachelor’s degree in business, Mr. Perez went on to earn multiple academic honors at the University of Miami School of Law. He is also a licensed Florida real estate agent, having represented buyers and sellers across a variety of residential and commercial transactions.

Before co-founding Perez Mayoral, P.A., Mr. Perez refined his litigation skills at some of Florida’s premier insurance‐defense firms, where he defended multimillion‐dollar liability claims and mastered the complexities of insurance coverage and subrogation. Concurrently, he honed his expertise in homeowners’ association and condominium law, forging a deep understanding of the governing documents, statutes and best practices that shape association governance.

An upstanding figure in legal circles, Mr. Perez is an active member of the Miami‐Dade County Trial Lawyers Association, the Miami‐Dade County Bar Association, the Cuban American Bar Association and the Hispanic American National Bar Association, and he has served as an executive committeeman for Miami‐Dade’s 24th precinct.

Passionate about both zealous advocacy and community service, Mr. Perez is committed to securing favorable outcomes for his clients while also supporting initiatives that uplift underrepresented and underserved populations. His comprehensive litigation background, insider insight into association governance, and steadfast dedication to client care distinguish him as a pivotal force at Perez Mayoral, P.A.
