A Florida Bar board-certified family law specialist, Robert J. Merlin is a senior partner at the Law Offices of Robert J. Merlin, P.A., in Coral Gables, Florida. He represents clients in and around Miami with family law related matters, such as prenuptial agreements, complex marital issues, and divorce and separation.

Serving a diverse range of clients, including athletes, professionals, executives and people in the entertainment industry, Mr. Merlin strives to resolve each case as amicably as possible. Mr. Merlin has a bachelor’s in accounting from the University of Florida and he studied law at the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law (UF Law). Graduating with honors in 1978, he was admitted to practice in Florida in 1979 and later, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. He has written and lectured extensively on collaborative family law, and he serves as an adjunct professor of collaborative law and an advisory board member of the Center on Children and Families at UF Law.
