Sonja A. Jean

A co-owner and partner at Davis Smith & Jean, LLC, in Coral Gables, Florida, Sonja A. Jean has been a stalwart champion for her clients’ rights and futures. She helps them pave the way to better opportunities after resolving contentious family law matters at the trial and appellate levels. She serves residents throughout the surrounding region, as well as across Miami-Dade County and South Florida.

Ms. Jean completed her undergraduate studies in 1997, graduating with her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Miami. She went on to enroll at the University of Miami School of Law, where she bolstered her strong legal foundation and honed her talents, which are still evident in the advocacy she provides for her clients today. She received her Juris Doctor in 2000, and in the same year, obtained her license to practice law in Florida. Utilizing a compassionate and empathetic approach combined with zealous representation, she fights tooth and nail to get her clients the resolution they deserve in their tumultuous family law issues.

For her many contributions to promoting the ideals of pristine, client-centric advocacy through her own practice, Ms. Jean has garnered the adulation of her peers and accolades from many prominent legal organizations, including acknowledgment by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys in their Top 10 in Client Satisfaction list and being the recipient of the Rising Star Award by The Florida Bar Family Law Section.
