Tara Faenza is an aggressive and tenacious attorney representing clients throughout Florida. Ms. Faenza focuses her practice in representing employers in a variety of disputes involving employment-related issues. Ms. Faenza represents clients for prelitigation matters from negotiating employment agreements, severance and settlement agreements, EEOC/FCHR claims, and litigation relating to discrimination, wrongful termination, and FLSA.

A former Miami Dade County Prosecutor, Ms. Faenza completed twenty (20) jury trials and more than thirty (30) bench trials (before a judge only). Ms. Faenza has argued successfully before the 3rd District Court of appeals and is an experienced litigator in Federal and State courts, trial and appellate level. Ms. Faenza was selected as a SuperLawyer's Rising Star her first year in private practice, in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020. Ms. Faenza was also awarded the Florida Legal Elite Award in 2018.

Ms. Faenza graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was selected as student commencement speaker at graduation, an honor awarded to a student with an excellent academic record and strong public speaking skills. During law school, Ms. Faenza also earned the Dean’s Certificate of Achievement award, given to the top student, in alternative dispute resolution and received honors in Litigation Skills courses. She was selected by the prestigious law firm of Constangy, Brooks, & Smith, LLP as their Diversity Scholars Award winner for the Southern Region, in 2012. Ms. Faenza served as President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association in 2011-2012. She earned a spot on the University of Miami Trial Team from 2011-2013, where she earned top scores: FJA Hon. E. Earle Zehmer Memorial Mock Trial Competition, 11/2012, Semi-finalist (Top 4 Team). Nova Closing Argument Competition, Semifinalist 2011 & 2012. Ms. Faenza participated and completed study in Europe for International Human Rights and International Sales and through the Leipzig-Miami Seminar, in cooperation with the University of Leipzig, Germany. Ms. Faenza also earned an additional specialized Employment, Labor and Immigration Certificate.

Passionate about sharing her base of legal knowledge with others, Ms. Faenza has written and lectured on various legal topics in addition to maintaining her law practice. She has been involved in many events including as an expert speaking for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Miami Equal Employment Opportunity Technical Assistance Seminar and the Southeast eDiscovery and Information Governance Retreat.

Outside of these educational pursuits, Ms. Faenza enjoys staying actively involved in her community as well as participating in pro bono activities. Since 2015, she serves as a pro bono guardian ad litem for Dade Legal Aid and was the social chairperson of the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of South Florida.
