Functioning as the managing partner at LaMaida Law, P.A., in Dade City, Florida, Attorney Christina LaMaida provides legal representation at both the state and appellate levels. Launching her professional career in law in 2015, she focuses her practice primarily on criminal defense, including appeals and post-conviction motions.

Having served as an assistant public defender at the Pasco County Public Defender’s office, Ms. LaMaida understands the lives, money and reputation at stake when accused of a criminal offense. Two of her orders were featured in The Florida Law Weekly and she was the recipient of the Pasco County Assistant Public Defender of the Year Award by the Office of the Public Defender – 6th Judicial Circuit, Florida and another from the Criminal Law Section of The Florida Bar, during her tenure at the public defender’s office.

Ms. LaMaida completed her bachelor’s in political science at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. She enrolled in the Barry University’s Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law and received her Juris Doctor degree. As an exemplary student, she was able to assist in various community service opportunities, work full-time at a law office while going to school, participate as a student member of the American Association for Justice and Inns of Court and graduate with concentration certificate in children’s and family law .

Realizing that not all voices are always heard, Ms. LaMaida found her passion in being able to stand up for those who couldn't always stand up for themselves. She is admitted to practice in Florida and to appear before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.

In addition to her professional engagements, Ms. LaMaida previously contributed to the society by volunteering within the Guardian Ad Litem program and serving at the Good Guides Youth Mentoring Program through Goodwill. She is rated “Very Good” on Avvo and is lauded by her happy clients for her resilience, attention to detail, and comforting nature.
