Jorge F. Perera

Attorney Jorge Freddy Perera is the founder of Perera Law Group, P.A. Mr. Perera focuses his practice on employment law and serves clients throughout South Florida. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants as part of his practice, which provides him with distinct skills and advantages in litigation. 

Mr. Perera holds licenses to practice law before all Florida state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida. 

His excellent work on behalf of clients has earned Mr. Perera a number of honors. Martindale-Hubbell awarded him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating. This is the highest available rating, reflecting high legal capability and ethical standards. 

Believing in the value of professional education, Mr. Perera writes and speaks on employment law topics. Groups he has spoken for include the Doral Chamber of Commerce, the Human Resource Association of Broward County and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants Miami-Dade Chapter.

Mr. Perera earned a bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University, graduating first in his class. He went on to earn his law degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law, graduating summa cum laude and first in his class. While attending law school, he clerked full time for a national employment law firm, developing his legal knowledge and gaining valuable experience. 

Prior to founding Perera Law Group, Mr. Perera spent several years practicing at a private Florida-based employment law firm and serving as general counsel for the Florida Atlantic Research and Development Authority. During this time, he served as lead counselor and lead negotiator in several complex employment matters.
