Subsequently, he was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1980 and later practiced before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. During the initial decade of his legal profession, he served in various capacities, including as an assistant state attorney and later as legal counsel to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.
An honorable figure in the legal community, Mr. Stack maintains strong affiliations with several organizations, such as the Volusia County Bar Association, The Florida Bar, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (Seventh Circuit Chapter) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
