We Solve Complex Problems

Pollard PLLC

For more than a decade, Pollard PLLC has provided high-caliber representation to employees, executives, and entrepreneurs. The Firm has two core focus areas: (1) Representing employees in all aspects of employment litigation, including sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation cases and (2) Defending employees, executives, entrepreneurs, and growing companies against non-compete and trade secret cases.

The Firm's founding attorney Jonathan Pollard has waged a long-running crusade against abusive non-compete and trade secret litigation. He has defended more than 100 such cases, including bet the company cases involving $20 million or more. Pollard's work in this space has resulted in multiple noteworthy court decisions and helped to re-shape Florida non-compete law. Pollard and his colleagues have won numerous key federal court decisions and multiple appeals in Florida's District Courts of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

The Firm's latest focus is representing employees primarily in sexual harassment, discrimination, and retaliation cases. This has given rise to Pollard's First 100 Case Project. Pollard is in the process of filing what he considers 100 cases involving the ugliest and most egregious forms of corporate misconduct toward employees. This cases frequently involve blatant and explicit racism directed toward Black people, age discrimination against older workers, sexual harassment, workplace sexual assault and even rape, and retaliation. Pollard maintains that the current employment law paradigm is broken. On one hand, there are countless workplace grievances involving hurt feelings. The prevalence of so many bogus workplace grievances has resulted in corporate America, insurance carriers, and defense lawyers assuming that all employment law claims are bogus and should be settled for low dollar amounts. Unfortunately, many plaintiff-side employment lawyers have gone along with this approach via operating settlement mills. In this context, settlement mills are essentially plaintiff-side employment law firms that want to settle cases without litigation, often for a fraction of their true value. Pollard wants to litigate and try the cases.

Over the years, Pollard has appeared in or on The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg, NPR, PBS NewsHour, The Guardian, The Times (London), Inc. Magazine, Law360, Above the Law and more.

Pollard's writing has appeared in Litigation Commentary & Review, Law360, Business Insider, and more.

Pollard frequently writes on law, litigation, business, and life on LinkedIn where he has more than 80,000 followers.
