Adrian P. Thomas is a dedicated estate law attorney advocating for clients in matters of estate, trust and probate. Acting as the founding partner of Adrian Philip Thomas, P.A., in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he serves clients throughout the city and across Florida. With over 30 years of experience in trials and litigation, he handles both defense and prosecution, and is credited with three published significant appellate court opinions.
After graduating from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in political science, Mr. Thomas pursued his legal studies at Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. He earned his Juris Doctor in 1993 and, in the following year, gained admission to The Florida Bar. Throughout his practice, Mr. Thomas has tried hundreds of cases. Notably, he handled a $50 million trust litigation in which the decedent’s long-term employees made significant changes to his estate plan, positioning themselves as primary beneficiaries of the trust. The decedent was living with dementia when he was isolated from his wife and a new counsel was engaged by the employees. As an attorney, his efforts to assist his clients in reclaiming what is rightfully theirs are unceasing.
Outside the courtroom, Mr. Thomas has been an active member of the American Bar Association, the Estate Planning Council of Broward County and the Stephen R. Booher American Inn of Court. He has been recognized by Lawyers of Distinction, The American Lawyer and Florida Trend’s Legal Elite. He has been AV Preeminent* peer-review rated through Martindale-Hubbell and also holds a Platinum Client Champion badge for his impeccable client service.
