Brendan A. Sweeney

Founding partner of Sweeney Law, P.A., Brendan A. Sweeney represents clients in Florida in matters of consumer law, business law, construction law, Title III and ADA litigation and real estate law. Named a Florida Legal Elite Up and Comer for several years and as the driving force behind the practice, Mr. Sweeney brings extensive experience and knowledge to the table with every single deal.

At the beginning of his career, Mr. Sweeney represented the state of Florida in criminal matters as a trial attorney and assistant state attorney for the Fourth Judicial Court of Florida. In the later years of his career, he represented some of the largest financial institutions in the world, gaining extensive experience in civil litigation and real estate law.

In 2001, Mr. Sweeney earned a Bachelor of Arts and graduated with distinction at the University of Wisconsin. He then attended the University of Miami School of Law, where he obtained a Juris Doctor in 2005 and a Master of Laws in 2007. Currently, he is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida, as well as in all state courts in Maryland and Florida.

Mr. Sweeney is a member of the American Bar Association Trust and Estate Law Committee, Real Property Committee and Business Law Committee. In the Florida Standing Committee, he has worked with the eminent domain, consumer protection law and unlicensed practice of law groups. He is currently a member of the Stephen R. Booher American Inn of Court and the Broward County Bar Association Construction Law Committee.
