Christian A. Petersen

Christian A. Petersen is an attorney at Olive|Judd, P.A. Attorneys at Law. Since joining the firm in February 2013, he has focused his practice on complex commercial litigation and creditors' rights, representing individual and business clients throughout Broward County and other parts of South Florida from the firm's office in Fort Lauderdale. Mr. Petersen has been admitted to practice before all Florida state courts since 1998, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, as well as before the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Northern, Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.

The types of courtroom matters that Mr. Petersen has handled have included breach of contract and other business disputes, real estate issues, and construction litigation. He has also represented creditors in insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings. His successful track record in all of these endeavors has earned him the respect of his fellow professionals, and they have awarded him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and an "Excellent" peer review rating through Avvo. In addition, Mr. Petersen has been named to Florida Trend Magazine's annual Legal Elite list and to the South Florida Legal Guide's Top Lawyers list.

As an undergraduate, Mr. Petersen majored in criminology at Florida State University in Tallahassee and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1990. He subsequently pursued his legal education at Vanderbilt University Law School and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1998. After graduation, Mr. Petersen was a business litigation attorney for several years at another South Florida firm before joining Hackleman, Olive & Judd, P.A. Attorneys at Law.
