After completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan, Ms. Adelson earned her law degree at Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law. Earlier in her legal career, she practiced at a large New York based law firm before relocating to Florida. She has been featured in various mass media publications over her career including the Miami Herald and the New York Times.
Active in various professional organizations, Ms. Adelson serves as an Emeritus board member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Florida Bar, serves on the Florida' Bars Federal Practice Committee, and is also a member of the ADR and Labor and Employment law sections of the Florida Bar, Broward County Bar Association, and Miami-Dade Bar Association. She also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Federal Bar Association. Ms. Adelson is also a member of the Broward County Women Lawyers’ Association, the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, Inc., National Arbitration and Mediation, and a Panel member of AAA Mediation.
Serving in leadership roles in her local community, Ms. Adelson sits on the Civil Service Board of the City of Fort Lauderdale, the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Broward County and Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale.
