Licensed to practice for over 25 years, Michael Santucci is a managing partner at 500law, formerly known as "Santucci Priore, P.L." He handles business, corporate and commercial matters on behalf of clients worldwide from his headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His caseload involves issues such as the following: intellectual property licensing, litigation and prosecution; trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights and patents; celebrity name rights, rights of publicity, the arts and entertainment; computer and e-commerce; and appeals at both the state and federal level.
In one of his most notable cases, Mr. Santucci was on a team that secured a record-setting $240 million after two appeals and a month-long trial surrounding a copyrighted business plan. National and global media have covered this as well as his other high-profile cases such as his representation of City National Bank, Bob Marley Movement of Jah People, Evel Knievel, Chubby Checker, Miss Vermont, Miss Universe, Ultra Music Festival, Coco Bongo Show & Nightclub, Paramount Vending, the Fort Lauderdale Hospital and many entrepreneurs, inventors, doctors, lawyers, athletes, models, musicians, filmmakers and judges and other elected officials.
Having built a career on countless successes, Mr. Santucci holds an Avvo “Superb” rating. Various Bar associations, law schools, CLE publishers and community groups often ask him to speak about his practice area, and media outlets often request his opinion regarding current events.
In 1993, Mr. Santucci received a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and political science from the University of Florida. He then graduated with a Juris Doctor from the Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in 1996.
Mr. Santucci is the co-chair of the Broward County Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Law Section. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and a number of other courts across the country.
Outside his practice, Mr. Santucci enjoys his role as a father, charity and church volunteer and is also a songwriter, musician and martial artist.
