Scott P. Schlesinger

The founder of Schlesinger Law Offices, P.A. Scott P. Schlesinger focuses his practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, he provides representation to clients throughout the state, and he has been a member in good standing of The Florida Bar since 1984. Highly regarded by his fellow attorneys for his successful track record and high degree of ethics, Mr. Schlesinger is a member of the Inner Circle of Advocates, an invitation-only group limited to just 100 of the top plaintiffs’ lawyers in the country. Mr. Schlesinger's clients are people who have incurred economic and noneconomic losses because of the negligence of other parties. The types of cases that he has handled during his distinguished career have included birth injuries and other forms of medical malpractice, truck and other motor vehicle accidents, nursing home abuse, and dangerous or defective products. Mr. Schlesinger has a particular focus on products liability cases brought against tobacco companies and e-cigarette manufacturers, and he has been able to obtain many multimillion-dollar jury awards and negotiated settlements on behalf of his plaintiff clients, including one in excess of $37.8 million and another for $10.5 million. Outside of the products liability area, Mr. Schlesinger has enjoyed similar successes, including a $32.75 million medical malpractice award.

Majoring in biopsychology, Mr. Schlesinger attended Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and he received a Bachelor of Science in 1981. He then pursued his legal education at what was then known as the University of Florida College of Law, and he was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1984. Mr. Schlesinger's professional memberships include the Florida Justice Association and the American Association for Justice.
