A former journalist, Mr. Amlong uses his investigative strengths, writing skills and extensive trial experience to advocate for the rights of employees at all levelos who suffer discrimination, harassment, wage-and-hour violations and other wrongs in the workplace. His clientele include police officers and firefighetrs, highly placed corporate executives, physicians, attorneys and financial professionals.

Mr. Amlong has served in several leadership roles of organizations dedicated to protecting employee rights. He is a former president of the Florida chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), as well as a former national executive board member. He is also a former chairman of the Broward County Commission on the Status of Women, the only male chair ever.  He has lectured, both locally and nationally, and published on both trial practice and labor-and-employment law.

Among other accomplishments, Mr. Amlong was instrumental in obtaining a successful result in the 1998 U.S. Supreme Court case Faragher v. City of Boca Raton, 524 U.S. 755, which resulted in increased liability for employers that fail to prevent or remedy on-the-job harassment based on sex or other protected characteristics.
