After graduating in 1994 from the University of Florida with her Bachelor of Science degree in telecommunication news, Ms. Swank enrolled in the University of Florida Fredric G. Levin College of Law and received her Juris Doctor with high honors in 2002. A year later, she obtained her license to practice in Florida.

A stalwart obelisk of leadership within the legal community, Ms. Swank has lost no time in serving important roles in prestigious legal organizations to better forward the awareness of elder rights in Florida. She is a past co-chair of the Florida Joint Public Policy Task Force for the Elderly and Disabled, a past president of the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys, and a board member of The Dubin Center. In addition, she is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Lee County Bar Association, and The Florida Bar.
