He spent three years as an associate with an international accounting firm prior to entering private practice. Admitted to practice in Florida, and the District of Columbia, he is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

A member of the board of directors of a privately held trust company, Mr. Hersch has served on several committees of The Florida Bar and the Florida Institute of CPAs.
