Kara B. Rogers, the co-founder of law firm Powers & Rogers, PLLC, in Cape Coral, Florida, leverages her extensive six-plus years of legal experience to provide comprehensive services in civil litigation. Her professional focus encompasses a wide array of legal fields including, but not limited to:

Her academic journey began at the University of South Florida, where she received a summa cum laude Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education and teaching, earning her the King O’Neal Scholar accolade. 

At law school, Ms. Rogers was inducted into the National Order of Scribes and the National Order of Barristers in recognition of her exceptional legal writing and advocacy skills. She also received the Kelly Feeley Dispute Resolution Board Founder's Award and the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award.

Ms. Rogers’ post-law school career included a judicial clerkship with a federal magistrate judge in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, which enriched her understanding of the federal court system. Prior to establishing Powers & Rogers, PLLC, she honed her skills in civil litigation and personal injury law, gaining hands-on experience in critical legal practices involving depositions, negotiations and mediations. 

Committed to serving her community, Ms. Rogers actively engages in child advocacy through the Guardian ad Litem program. She also contributes her time to Stetson University College of Law Dispute Resolution Board by coaching, judging and mentoring participants in legal competitions.
