The managing partner at Lockett Law, P.A., L. Lee Lockett focuses his practice exclusively on DUI and criminal defense matters. From the firm's office in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, he provides representation to clients throughout northeast Florida who have been charged by the state or federal government with having committed misdemeanor or felony offenses. A member in good standing of The Florida Bar since 1997, Mr. Lockett is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.

A significant portion of Mr. Lockett's practice involves assisting people who have been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Although many of these cases are simple misdemeanor offenses, his experience also includes DUI manslaughter, a serious felony that can result in a lengthy prison sentence if a conviction is obtained. Other criminal matters that Mr. Lockett has worked on during his career have included drug possession and trafficking, fraud and other white collar crimes, weapons violations, sex offenses, assault and battery, kidnapping, and murder.

Mr. Lockett has been able to obtain positive outcomes for many of his clients, whether through dismissals or acquittals or as the result of the negotiation of favorable plea agreements with the prosecution. His fellow attorneys have taken note of his successful track record, and they have given him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell and a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo.

A published author and frequent speaker on topics related to his practice area, Mr. Lockett is a member of several legal organizations, including the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, The National College for DUI Defense, Jacksonville Bar Association and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Inc where he sits on the Board. He received his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University School of Law in 1997.
