Catrina Markwalter

Catrina Markwalter is a partner at Taylor English Duma LLP located in Jacksonville, Florida. Focusing her practice on creditor and debtor rights and construction law, she takes on cases involving business formation, entity restructuring, contract negotiations and disputes, business torts and financial disputes.

With a major in environmental policies, Ms. Markwalter has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida. She has a master’s degree in business administration and management from the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business. Earning her Juris Doctor from the Florida Coastal School of Law, she is licensed to practice in Florida since 2009.

In addition, Ms. Markwalter is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle, Northern and Southern Districts of Florida. She is also an active member of The Florida Bar and the Jacksonville Bar Association. 

Before joining Taylor English Duma LLP, Ms. Markwalter worked at a law firm in Florida representing creditors related to bankruptcy proceedings. She has gained invaluable experience defending claims, motions for adequate protection, motions for relief from the automatic stay, opposition to “cramdown” motions, and objections to confirmation and discharge.

As a member of Taylor English Duma LLP’s Construction and Litigation Departments, Ms. Markwalter is a Small Business Administration litigation attorney, focusing on 7(a) and CDC/504 SBA loan litigation and complex commercial litigation.
