John J. Schickel

Attorney John J. Schickel is a partner with Coker Law in Jacksonville, Florida. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

A 1970 graduate of the University of Florida, Mr. Schickel returned to his alma mater and obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1972. Since entering private practice, Mr. Schickel has enjoyed a highly distinguished, decorated career, including receiving the Justice Harry Lee Anstead Board-Certified Lawyer of the Year award from The Florida Bar in 2006. In addition, the E. Robert Williams American Inn of Court honored Mr. Schickel by naming its Florida chapter's professionalism award after him.

He also supports his local community through his involvement with various civic and charitable organizations, including serving as president of the Jacksonville Legal Aid Society and on the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce Board of Governors.
