Scott D. Sheftall is an attorney and the founder of The Law Offices of Sheftall & Associates in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Sheftall has more than 42 years of experience and represents clients throughout the state of Florida in serious personal injury, wrongful death or other catastrophes. He has a wide range of experience resolving complex commercial disputes, nationally and internationally.

Admitted to practice in Florida since 1977, Mr. Sheftall is also licensed before the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. He graduated from Davidson College with a bachelor’s degree and earned his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He also studied international trade law at Trinity College Cambridge.

Mr. Sheftall has received several honors for his accomplishments, including receiving a rating of AV Preeminent*, the highest possible, from the peer review organization Martindale-Hubbell. He ihas been continuously board certified in civil trial law by the Florida Bar since 1988. He has been inducted as a Fellow of the American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Society of Barristers.

Mr. Sheftall has been featured in many publications, including Jacksonville magazine and Attorney-At-Law Magazine. In addition, he has been named as one of “northeast Florida’s top attorney’s”. The South Florida Legal Guide also named him one of the “top attorneys in South Florida.” Recently, Mr. Sheftall was selected by his peers as one of the "Top 100 Plaintiff's Peronsal Injury Lawyers" in Florida.

  • ABOTA Seventh Amendment Symposium. Mr. Sheftall poses as George Washington each year and presents a program to Duval County School children to educate and inspire them about the Bill of Rights. Mr. Sheftall asks selected children to dress in costumes he provides so that they may portray Founding Fathers as they discuss and debate the value of ordered liberty embodied in the Constitution. He presents all the children with personal copies of the Constitution and asks that they sign them to pledge their support of the Bill of Rights and of liberty in America.
