    Attorney Profile

Certified as a specialist in appellate practice by The Florida Bar since 1994, Jennifer S. Carroll is the principal attorney at her eponymous law firm, where she also handles complex litigation at the trial level. Located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, she provides representation to clients throughout the state. Admitted to practice in Florida, Ms. Carroll is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Highly regarded by her colleagues, she has received an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Many of Ms. Carroll's appellate clients have been represented by other attorneys at the trial level, and she brings a fresh perspective when she is reviewing the trial record for possible issues that she can argue before a higher court. Some of her representative successes have included the reversal of a multimillion dollar judgment in a construction dispute case and a reversal of an appointment of a professional guardian on the basis that the trial court failed to find that the choice of the designated guardian was contrary to the ward's best interests. In another case, Ms. Carroll had a summary judgment in favor of her hospital client upheld by the appellate court.

Ms. Carroll is a cum laude graduate of Stetson University, where she majored in political science and received a Bachelor of Arts in 1982. She then went on to attend Mercer University School of Law, and she was inducted into the Order of Barristers and was awarded her Juris Doctor in 1985. Before entering private practice, Ms. Carroll spent several years as a judicial law clerk for a judge on the First District Court of Appeal in Tallahassee.
