David J. George

David J. George is the Managing Member of George Gesten McDonald, PLLC, with offices in Florida, New York, and Virginia.  Before founding the Firm, David was a partner in one of the largest class-action firms in the world.   A skilled and tenacious litigator, he focuses his practice on consumer and securities fraud class actions, complex commercial litigation, EB-5 fraud litigation, and consumer protection.  David has been lead and/or co-lead counsel with respect to various consumer fraud class actions and securities fraud class actions throughout the United States.  David was also a member of the litigation team that secured a $925 million dollar settlement in the largest stock options backdating case in history.

David has been licensed to practice in Florida since 1991. He is also qualified to appear before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Rhode Island, Mr. George obtained his Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1988. He received his Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 1991 from the T. C. Williams School of Law at the University of Richmond. During his time in law school, he was a member of the Law Review, the President of the McNeill Law Society, and earned numerous academic awards, including outstanding academic performance in each of his three years there and outstanding graduate.

Along with his extensive knowledge and achievements, David is known among his peers and clients for his excellent client service and commitment. Active in his legal community, David is a member of The Florida Bar and its Consumer Protection Law Committee and the Palm Beach County Bar Association.
