Candice Dixon is the founder of the eponymous legal firm Candice Dixon Law, P.A., in Lakeland, Florida. She serves clients residing in Lakeland and Polk County, offering them legal counsel on matters involving family law, criminal defense, Social Security Disability claims, .
Earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and government from the University of South Florida, Ms. Dixon received her legal education on full academic scholarship at the Florida Coastal School of Law. While there, she served as a teaching assistant for the legal research and writing class and was a law clerk in the 4th Judicial Circuit Court for the Honorable Judge Waddell Wallace.
Graduating with honors, Ms. Dixon received her law degree in 2013 and passed the bar exam, gaining her license to practice in all the state courts of Florida. Prior to pursuing her legal career, she worked in the mental health field, teaching patients life management skills and helping them find housing and jobs. After law school, she became the assistant public defender at the 10th Judicial Circuit Court, representing indigent clients in misdemeanor and felony cases.
