Heather Bryan

Heather Bryan is a highly experienced trial attorney, well-versed in family law, criminal law and personal injury law. Taking a momentous leap in her legal career, she established her own law firm, Heather Bryan Law, P.A., in Lakeland, Florida, with a primary focus on family law. She has since been a beacon of support for countless families, proficiently guiding them through the complexities of the divorce process with a blend of legal prowess and compassion. With a resolute commitment to her clients, she is a force to be reckoned with in the legal arena.

Ms. Bryan earned her J.D. at Barry Law School in Orlando in 2013, where she was awarded a scholarship and graduated with honors. She obtained her license in Florida in 2014 and was admitted before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida.

While at the law school, she distinguished herself as a teaching assistant for the legal research and writing class, a research assistant for her constitutional law tutor, where she co-authored a remarkable appellate brief for the 11th Circuit of Appeals and actively engaged in the trial team. Prior to embarking on her legal studies, she achieved a Master of Arts (2005) in educational psychology from the University of Connecticut and attained high honors with a Bachelor of Science (1998) in education and history from Columbus State University.

Ms. Bryan’s unwavering dedication to the legal profession transcends her daily practice. She has played a vital role in establishing the Polk Association for Women Lawyers, where she currently sits on the board of directors and holds the position of the association’s president. This not only showcases her exceptional legal acumen but also underscores her steady commitment to promoting women’s interests in the legal arena. She is an associate of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Polk County Trial Lawyers Association. Moreover, she contributes to the legislative committee for the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

Before pursuing a career in law, Ms. Bryan invested a decade in teaching, showcasing her commitment to education and promoting community development. Furthermore, she remains actively involved in her local community and is a valued First United Methodist Church member.
