Lori Adelson is an experienced attorney, certified mediator, and qualified arbitrator based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Ms. Adelson has an extensive legal background in employment and labor law, business disputes, consumer and civil rights law. Ms. Adelson is a premier conflict management professional providing mediation, facilitation, training, coaching, and consulting to individuals, organizations, and attorneys. It is Ms. Adelson's mission to help people to navigate conflict successfully, through mediation, arbitration, risk mitigation, and litigation avoidance solutions. 

As the founding member of Approved Dispute Resolution, ms Adelson has partnered with Miles Mediation and Arbitration to provide conflict management and dispute resolution solutions. She is a federal and state certified mediator and court-appointed neutral, and Florida Supreme Court qualified arbitrator. She has 25 years of of successfully litigating employment, civil rights, labor, business commercial, contract and consumer issues using her vast training as a skilled trial attorney.  Ms. Adelson brings her vast trial experience and skills as a certified mediator and neutral fact-finder in the areas of labor, employment, business, contract and elder disputes.

Ms. Adelson Is a creative thinker, problem solver, and has a proven track record of negotiating and resolving these types of disputes. Ms. Adelson is a conflict management professional providing mediation, facilitation, training, coaching, and consulting to individuals, organizations, and attorneys.  

After completing her bachelor’s degree at the University of Michigan, Ms. Adelson earned her law degree at Hofstra University Maurice A. Deane School of Law. Earlier in her legal career, she practiced at a large New York based law firm before relocating to Florida.   She has been featured in various mass media publications over her career including the Miami Herald and the New York Times. 

Active in various professional organizations, Ms. Adelson serves as a member of the board of the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Section of the Florida Bar Association, serves on the Florida Bar's Federal Practice Committee, and is also a member of the ADR and Labor and Employment law sections of the Florida Bar. Ms. Adelson also serves on the leadership board of the Federal Bar Association's ADR Section, and the Board of Director's the local Broward County Chapter. She is also a member of the Broward County Bar Association, ADR, and Labor and Employment Sections. Ms. Adelson is also a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, National Arbitration and Mediation, and a Panel member of AAA Mediation as a mediator and arbitrator.
