Jany Martinez-Ward

Jany Martinez-Ward is the founding and managing partner of The Ward Law Group, PL, in Miami Lakes, Florida, where she leads a practice devoted to personal injury law with a particular focus on representing Hispanic clients injured in automobile accidents caused by others’ negligence.

Since establishing the firm in 2012, Ms. Martinez-Ward has guided more than 31,000 families to recover nearly $1 billion in compensation for medical expenses, lost wages and property damage – results she pairs with a deep commitment to building trust and restoring peace of mind for each client.

A tireless advocate for the Hispanic community, Ms. Martinez-Ward combines zealous representation with public education about evolving local, state and federal laws governing auto accidents. Her courtroom tenacity and client-centered approach earned her recognition in 2018 as one of the National Trial Lawyers Association’s Top 40 Under 40 in Miami. Ms. Martinez-Ward’s empathy is rooted in her own experience as an immigrant child who arrived in the United States with her family and faced the hardships of separation, language barriers and uncertainty. She holds a B.S. magna cum laude from the University of Florida and a J.D. from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law (2011), and she was admitted to The Florida Bar in 2013. Fluent in Spanish, she frequently communicates with clients in their native language to ensure they feel understood and supported.

Beyond legal practice, Ms. Martinez-Ward serves on the board of the “I Have A Dream” Foundation, supports youth programs, sponsors annual Back-to-School drives for underprivileged children and regularly appears on Miami-area radio and television to answer post-accident legal questions and educate the public about their rights.
